Audrina Lane's Top Ten Indie Authors
Audrian Lane's Top 10 Indie Authors
These are not in any particular order so no need to have the chart countdown music running in your head!
Sarah Michelle Lynch - She is a completely riveting author. I have been left in a book funk after reading her Sub Rosa Series. Her characters are all interesting or just plain sexy. I think I’ve read everything she’s written almost and I did say that she was my go-to author after Stephen King. Oh and she’s my editor!!
Rita Ames – She writes in lots of different genres so I never get bored. I read her erotic romance “”If the shoe fits” and on holiday this year her thriller “Love you to death” She’s also my co-author for our forthcoming “24 Hours to Love” novel and does a fab job on my cover art.
Louise Scoular – She was the first author to befriend me on Twitter when she realised our novels were of a similar genre. I’m still waiting for book 3 of her “Ever Mine Trilogy” as book 2 had a cliff hanger of an ending!!
Merritt Kelly – She was the hosting author for my first ever Facebook party and I felt that I needed to read her book. Her first book “Culinary Seduction” was a fab romance set in the world of cookery competitions and didn’t disappoint and I have read her other novel. We’re also hoping to work on a book together in the future.
K L Shandwick – I love books that have a music or pop star theme so when I noticed “Finding Flynn” I dived straight in. I’m just starting on part 2 now. A gripping love story against a back ground of life in a rock band. She is a generous soul who loves helping out other authors when she can.
Eleanor Lloyd-Jones – I won a free copy of her first book “Housing Elephants” and decided to read it on my sun lounger on holiday this year. A two day read which meant I had to stop writing my own stuff to finish the story.
C L Bentham – A totally sweet and kind author who stayed up all night to read my first book. I re-payed the favour and adored her “Click #1” novel and am waiting to find the time to catch up with her characters in the second book.
Sophie Bowns – I like to read books that are different and “The Defeatist” was just that. I’m not going to spoil the plot but I adored this story and am now a firm friend of Sophie’s.
Melinda McIntosh (Poet) – As I’ve started writing poetry I decided to read some and “a Tickle of the Mind” was the first anthology I picked up. Melinda paints pictures with her words in a truly delightful way.
Laura Diaz (Poet) – A poet that I’ve supported right from reading her first few poems on Facebook. They are short but so insightful and one of her poems is at the start of my Bloodstained Heart books as a little look at the character of Felicity. Even she admitted that the poem was just how she imagined the character when she read my Heart Trilogy series. Her first anthology “Catching Snowflakes” is an amazing read – I have a paperback copy at home so I can keep dipping in and out for a fix.
