Q&A with Holly J Gill

About the book

Q: What inspired you to write this book?

A: I wanted to write about a place, an exclusive sex club, where you could visit and explore all your sexual fantasies without questions asked and consent, and confidentiality given without being judged.

Q: How long did it take you to write the book?

A: It took me about 6 months. I got about 6 chapter into Desires and came up with book 2 and started writing them parallel.

Q: Where did the ideas for your characters come from? Are they based on people you know? Do they have similar traits?

A: The characters were totally made up. I fancied writing about a younger man and older woman.

Q: Did you find the erotic scenes hard to write? If so, why?

A: Nope, I loved writing these sex scenes, so hot.

Q: Do you have a favourite scene in the book? If so, which?

A: Oh yes, the chocolate mousse scene…well let’s say Stacie enjoys her dessert very well.

About You

Q: How old were you when you started writing?

A: Since I was a child. My imagination has always been wild.

Q: Where do you get your book ideas from?

A: I am inspired by so many different things, conversations, places, images, music, authors, the list can go on and on.

Q: Does your family know you write erotica? If so, how do they feel about it? If not, why not?

A: My family are aware, my immediate family are cool, but the rest stay silent.

Q: How many books have you written? Which is your favourite?

A: To date I have 6 published works. My favourite, heck…I have no idea the 1st five are the same characters a series and book 6 is a new story, which I also adore.

Q: Are you going to write more books? If so, will you continue to do so under the erotic genre?

A: I have many books waiting in the archive and yes, all erotic but 6.

Your Views

Q: What do you think makes a good story?

A: Plot, characters, setting the scene.

Q: Do you think people are becoming more accepting of erotica?

A: I still find a mix response to erotica, to some it’s super-hot and sex and others its simply crude.

Q: Have you self-published? If so, what have been the negatives and positives?

A: I am self-published but was with a publisher until they closed their doors. I have both positive and negative reviews,

Q: When reading, do you prefer eBook or print? Why?

A: I like e-books, can carry more brilliant books around with me.

Just for Fun

Q: If you could be a character from one of your books, who would you be and why?

A: Stacie in Desires, as I would love to visit a sex club and explore a hot toy boy.

A: Midwife

Q: Tea or coffee?

A:Tea

A: Summer

Q: What’s next for you?

A: At the moment I am working on re-writing draft copies of works I wrote a number of years ago and proceeding with finding a good editor this book is about a secret agent team who are hired to eliminate evils. I also have a current sweet, with sexual tension with another editor hoping for an early release in the new year called Innocence.
