Naughty Q&A with PJ Bayliss

1. As a writer, do you like to experience the sexual acts that you write about in order to write about them convincingly? Oh I wish! That would be quite scrummy, but I do believe a number of my scenes really stretch the imagination in order to draw readers into a vivid fantasy - especially scenes in my novel where I use substances to enhance the scene. Substances like faulty Viagra that acts on men and women, but also takes the user beyond excitement to a full climax. Thankfully that act can't be undertaken in real life. I'd be a starter if it could!

2.Are there any sexual acts that you have written about that you are yet to experience? If so, what? And do you think you ever will? Yes, a number of them. I once wrote a poem that began at the bottom of a staircase and the couple 'made' their way up to the top. In reality it would probably sprain an ankle so I might skip that in the future. My sexual encounter bucket list is quite ambitious to be frank.

3. What about an erotic scene in a book turns you on the most? I can't answer this.

There are so many variations to erotic scenes to pin a favorite to: Writing styles, period of book setting, genre of book etc. There is a kaleidoscope of kink out there being captured by authors, each one of them executing it differently. Each of them offering different triggers that turn me on in different ways.

The variety of erotica is just like sex, with so many options to choose from. I'm always learning and am prepared to learn more in both situations, and I think that is the key to being turned on by different work. being more receptive, willing, and open to explore new ideas.

4. Does your partner (if you have one) know you write erotica? If so, do they read your work? If they do, do they find it arousing? Yes, my partner does know, and hasn't read my finished novel yet. I believe they would find it arousing.

5. Have you ever turned yourself on writing one of your own sex scenes? Yes. A number of times, some of which have led to potentially embarrassing moments in front of friends and family. I probably should be grateful that it does affect me in that manner. It's a good sign I'm on the right track.

6. Do you ever read one handed? And not because you are stirring the Bolognese ;) Yes. (I presume you talking about foreplay with my partner here?)

7. What’s the naughtiest, dirtiest thing you have ever written? Give us an excerpt or tell us about the scene. This is one of my favorite scenes (so far) in my latest book, Librium.

It takes place during a foursome where my alpha, Chaise, is challenged by Savannah because he didn't come with his girlfriend. As the challenge takes place, it seems unlikely to happen again so Julie, fuelled by envy, ends up jumping in to help complete the job.

‘He hardly ever comes,’ said Julie, ‘at least not without some extra effort.’

‘Really?’

‘Really.’ replied Chaise, as he knelt between Julie’s thighs. He watched as Savannah continued to play with herself, gently teasing her pussy and his eye fell toward her crotch.

Savannah opened her thighs as he looked down, opening herself to Chaise’s gaze.

‘So… what kind of extra effort are you looking for?’

Chaise looked up at Tim who was spent and now basking in his afterglow. They exchanged a look and Chaise nudged Savannah’s thighs open wider. She laid back invitingly and he shuffled over between her thighs.

Julie sat up and watched as Chaise began to rub his cock against her blonde pussy, admiring the purity of Savannah’s thatch as it caught the light. She watched as Chaise’s head slowly separated Savannah’s folds and then it disappeared into her friend.

Savannah’s hips rolled upward to meet his full girth and Chaise willingly obliged, burying the rest of his cock into her deepest recess. She winced as his body compressed her sex, but compensated quickly by opening her thighs wider. Chaise positioned himself in an upright manner and pulled her thighs in toward him, lifting her buttocks off the floor as he continued to fuck her. Overcome with desire, Savannah reached up above her head to find the wall and she pushed herself harder into him, groaning each time he entered. She resisted the urge to come in a futile attempt to satisfy him and to find his limit, but it wasn’t an easy task. The sensation of his erection pushing harder against the front of her vagina was impossible to ignore, and he knew this all too well.

She’d never experienced a pure vaginal orgasm ever before, and this man was the closest to accomplishing it for her. His hands were busy pulling her in close and hers were pushing her body into him. This was a moment she’d long hoped for and she closed her eyes in anticipation of the waterworks when Julie, charged once again through watching them, dived into savannah’s depths to suckle her erect clit.

Julie’s mouth pushed Savannah completely off the edge and she burst open with a rush, squirting over Chaise’s navel while Julie attempted to catch every drop in her mouth. She hollered with ecstasy as her body convulsed time and time again until finally nothing but her berated breathing could be heard.

Savannah secretly cursed her friend from denying her from her first vaginal orgasm. However, as the heavenly waves of abandonment cascaded over her body, she knew it was in impossible grudge to hold. The best she could do was to hope for another opportunity in the future.

8. What’s the naughtiest, dirtiest book you have ever read? It's difficult to say which one has been the naughtiest. Perhaps I've become accustomed to most?

The Siren by Tiffany Riesz still rings out to me however, some of those scenes are simply delicious.

9. Do you use porn as a stimulant for writing erotic scenes? Sometimes, yes. But peace & quiet actually works remarkably well too. Once I find the space away from distractions, my juices always seem to flow.

10. Are there any consensual sexual acts that you would never write about? If so, why not? I couldn't do scat, no matter what. There probably are a couple of other sexual acts around this level that would be difficult to write too.

11. Do you find certain erotic/sexual scenes hard to write? E.g. M/M, F/F, anal sex, bondage.

If you asked me this 1-year ago, I probably would've confessed to a number of scenes. Lately I have pushed my boundaries and become quite comfortable with almost anything. Except shape shifter story lines. I just can't quite get my head in the right space there and my humorous inner-self kicks in with ideas about chipmunks, squirrels, and my humorous inner-self kicks in with ideas about chipmunks, squirrels, and skunks. Not a terribly erotic combination, but still very likely to bring a smile to my readers' faces, and that's the most important thing I guess.

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer our naughty questions, PJ.

We hope you had fun ;)
